Hon. Satej D Patil, younger son of Padma Shri Dr. D.Y. Patil, is the former Home Minister (Urban & Rural), Rural Development, Food & Drugs Administration of Maharashtra state. He is a leader of the Indian National Congress from Maharashtra state. A fiery visionary & principally vibrant young leader, he has been predominantly devoted to social, agricultural and educational causes. His spectrum of work encompasses a plethora of holistic reforms; be it the momentous Clean Drinking Water Supply, Housing projects, Internal Link Roads Development projects or Ban on chewing tobacco. His initiatives have long been motored towards uplifting weaker sections of the society, empowering women, promoting arts & sports culture and building competent educational infrastructure for all masses. Dr. D.Y. Patil Kala, Krida, Shaikshanik & Sanskrutik Trust and Padma Shri Dr. D. Y. Patil Sahakari Sakhar Karkhana Ltd. are some of his illustrious dream projects turned into reality over the last few years.
